I had a few choices for this category…a bird, the cat, the hubby….but I couldn’t resist the bad pun. Truly, groan-worthy isn’t it?

Anticipating the Future
It’s springtime in Georgia and thoughts turn to …. gardening. Here are two shots from the very same planter. The first shows half of the box in bloom. The second shows the other half of the box in bud. I can only hope that the future blooms are as beautiful as the present.
Harmony at the Waterfront
On a peaceful evening, a couple walk in harmony along the beach. All’s right in their world.
WP Photo Challenge: Now
I am guilty. Holidays make me nostalgic. I start dwelling on the people and traditions that are no longer in my life. I get sad, I get depressed. “Oh, woe is me.”
Remind me of the now and the great life I am living. Here are some images that I captured today. The past was wonderful; and, the present is pretty great too.
It has been a foggy Christmas week. Isn’t the lighthouse pretty in the purple mist?
Nature decorating the spruce and red berries against a green leafy background.
I hope your holidays are happy and bring you everything that you desire.
DP Photo Challenge: Gathering
The pelicans enjoy gathering at the Polk Street Beach. The sand is warm, the area is fairly quiet and the surf is invigorating. Plus there is always a bite to eat and a friend to share the latest tidbit of bird gossip.
DP Weekly Photo Challenge: Oops
When you try to take pictures of birds and wildlife, you get many, many oops(es). Here is my all time favorite entitled “Sh*t Happens”. It was taken awhile back, but really fits this challenge. Other than the pooh, I thought it was a pretty cool photo.
I was out this afternoon catching sea gulls in flight. Here is a great shot of one bird flying….unfortunately it was completely out of range of my camera…oops.
Digital Photography gotta love it….those oops(es) aren’t developed, just deleted.
DP Photo Challenge: Eye Spy
I Spy with my Eagle Eye. This majestic fellow visited the neighborhood yesterday. I was so excited to capture him.
Here is a Hawk’s Eye from my archives.
I thought both photos met this weeks challenge. I hope you enjoy.
DP Weekly Photo Challenge: Transitions
DP Photo Challenge: Transitions
My hubby fished a kitten out of the marsh for me. This was back in July of this year. I have never had a kitten before so the “transition” over these past four months is pretty remarkable. See how his size goes from about 6 inches (1/2 of a 12 inch tile) to 24 inches (2 tiles)….and he is only 5 months old.
July 23…Here’s Swampy. Age 6 weeks
Layed out on the couch. Age 9 weeks
A distinguished lad. Age 11 weeks
Getting bigger. Age 16 weeks
Furry Crabby time. Age 22 weeks.
P.S. I had some issues with photos not showing up when I originally posted. Seemed to involve captioning. I removed the captions, now you can see the pictures. I have no clue why…but apologies.
WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge: Trio
I thought I’d go with a triple trio today. Number one is a shot of three Ibis on the wooden rail of the walkway.
Picture number two is of three Royal Terns…I call them Larry, Mo and Curly in honor of the Three Stooges.
Last one is three Brown Pelicans in flight. They have remained nameless, but give me time.
Photo Challenge: Afloat
https://dailypost.wordpress.com/dp_photo_challenge/afloat/
A fishing boat that is afloat on the Savannah River off of Tybee Island, Georgia. Plus a pretty nice sunset…who could ask for more?
