With that monster by his side, no wonder he needs a mug of grog! Twisted Tentacle.

Daily Post Photo Challenge: Silence
As I was out for a stroll the other day, I spotted these two silently fishing for their lunch…
A young Blue Heron. Isn’t his plumage colorful?
An Ibis.
My kind of silence. Plus I was able to try out my new lens.

This young bird (I’m not sure if it is a heron, egret or ibis) was a cheeky little rascal. I was slinking around trying to get a good shot and all of a sudden he was sneaking in to get a closer look at me and my camera. Cheeky wasn’t he?

Daily Post Photo Challenge: Serene
What could be more “serene” than a quiet evening at the beach? Hope you enjoy.

Here is a butterfly “peeking” around the edge of the goldenrod. I thought that the colors on this one were cool. Hope you enjoy.

Daily Post Photo Challenge: Rounded
Here is a rounded shot of one of my go-to subjects, the Tybee Lighthouse. Just the top, if you please.
Also here is a “kind of” round hibiscus. I never can resist a pretty flower.

DP Photo Challenge: Pedestrian
The other morning, I looked out the window and there was this lovely rainbow glowing over our pedestrian walkway. Later in the evening, I captured (on film , of course) a bald eagle. Maybe I can work that shot into next week’s challenge. It was a really good day.

Here is the CMA CGM T. Roosevelt, the largest container ship to travel up the Savannah River to the port of Savannah. Note the “layers” of containers on its deck. The ship exited the river a few days later looking completely different. It rode higher in the water (carrying paper products, from what I heard) and all the containers were the same. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a second picture.

DP Photo Challenge: Ooh, Shiny
For my shine, let’s go with birds….although for me, it can be any critter out there.
Don’t ask how many times, hubby and I are traveling in the car (He drives.) and I yell “Ooh, look” and he thinks death is imminent. Then I get scolded when I say, “what a beautiful bird.” But he still says, he loves me.
So here are a few bird pictures I have taken in the past couple of days. I hope you enjoy.
Taking a bath.
Checking out the view.
Hiding in the twigs.

Thunderstorms with torrential downpours rolled along the coast yesterday. Nature at its most “elemental”.
