Why can I sneak up on my husband when I’m not even trying, but when I try to get out the door for a better birdie shot, they all go flying?
We were out to get some supplies yesterday and saw several children visiting the store with an adult. I can appreciate the idea of a mom or dad being concerned about Covid and not wanting the kids to attend in-person classes and I know schedules have changed with various times for various students. Plus, I am sure the children are going stir crazy at home. Here’s my ponder point for today:
If you are doing home learning now because of Covid concerns why would you have your unmasked children running around in stores?
Cee’s B & W Challenge: In or On Water
Tybee Tabby has moved…so there probably will be fewer seaside pictures. Considering how bad I have been about posting lately, you are probably surprised to see any pictures. I’ll try to improve.
We do have a lake nearby and that is where the second picture was taken. The first is from my back yard. I have a pretty little sun porch and can see the birds and squirrels from my couch.
As always, I hope you enjoy.

Daily Post Photo Challenge: Silence
As I was out for a stroll the other day, I spotted these two silently fishing for their lunch…
A young Blue Heron. Isn’t his plumage colorful?
An Ibis.
My kind of silence. Plus I was able to try out my new lens.

This young bird (I’m not sure if it is a heron, egret or ibis) was a cheeky little rascal. I was slinking around trying to get a good shot and all of a sudden he was sneaking in to get a closer look at me and my camera. Cheeky wasn’t he?

DP Photo Challenge: Ooh, Shiny
For my shine, let’s go with birds….although for me, it can be any critter out there.
Don’t ask how many times, hubby and I are traveling in the car (He drives.) and I yell “Ooh, look” and he thinks death is imminent. Then I get scolded when I say, “what a beautiful bird.” But he still says, he loves me.
So here are a few bird pictures I have taken in the past couple of days. I hope you enjoy.
Taking a bath.
Checking out the view.
Hiding in the twigs.

Cee’s B & W Photo Challenge: New Pic
From my walk this morning. This egret was flying from one side of the walkway to the other. Likely to avoid the sneaky photographer.
I hope you enjoy….it sure was a pretty day. Thanks to Cee for encouraging me to get off my duff and take some new pictures.
DP Photo Challenge: Evanescent
How much difference a few hours make. These two photos below were taken this past Tuesday afternoon. It was an exciting day in Tabby’s backyard.
Yes, it was officially a tornado rolling over Fort Pulaski and down the Savannah River. This picture was taken from the back porch….a little closer and I would have been cowering in the laundry room. But no damage for us, the fort wasn’t so lucky.
At dusk there was a break in the action and the birds took advantage of the feeder. I spotted a male painted bunting, one of my favorites. This photo was taken in the back yard.
Evanescent events, both of them.
Cee’s B & W Photo Challenge: G & H
“G” is for gull, wading in the river.
“H” is for heron, cackling on the walkway.
Bonus “H” is for horses, just because the Clydesdales are one of my favorites. Aren’t they pretty?

DP Challenge: It’s Easy Being Green
Here is a pretty white egret, shown to advantage against the green of the tree.
Here is a showy green lizard, preening and displaying his bright red dewlap.
