DP Photo Challenge: Out-of-Focus

I’ve been trying to get better at taking night pictures.  Basically right now, I’m bad.  But that said, I have gotten some interesting out-of-focus results.  I share two with you below.

This one is a pelican in flight.  It was late dusk and he was flying as part of a pair.  I have cropped and used a filter on the photo and actually like the result, it was not what I intended, but that’s okay, too.

Here’s a shimper at night on the Savannah River.  It is the best of the bad.  I actually did use a tripod, but I need some training, to get the settings on my camera right.

I retired from a rule-driven profession and moved to the beach in Georgia with my husband. Now I spend my time doing fun and creative things and enjoying the warm weather and my beautiful surroundings.
