Tiny Crabbies in the Swamp

Here are two shots of tiny fiddler crabs that live in the local swamp.  The second picture is a crop/enlargement of the first, so that you can see detail.  Fiddler crabs are  critters that totally fascinate me….I watch them execute what appear to be military maneuvers on the sand and build cities of tubes. They attract various sea birds who eat the crabs. (More photo opportunities for me.)  And, the colors of their shells are so beautiful.

I hope you like my interpretation of the “tiny” theme for this week.

I retired from a rule-driven profession and moved to the beach in Georgia with my husband. Now I spend my time doing fun and creative things and enjoying the warm weather and my beautiful surroundings.
