Tybee Earth a.k.a. Sand

Yesterday was a busy day.  When we finally returned home from our errands and excursions and I saw that the Weekly Photo Challenge was “Earth” , I though how perfect the local college is doing their annual sand art contest and I can get some great photos of the thing we call “earth” at the beach, aka “sand”.  Alas, I arrived too late and most of the entries had been returned to their natural level beach state either though waves or stomping feet.  I did manage to get a couple of shots, so here you have it…”Tybee Earth.”

I retired from a rule-driven profession and moved to the beach in Georgia with my husband. Now I spend my time doing fun and creative things and enjoying the warm weather and my beautiful surroundings.

  1. Amazing creations! When our girls were little and there was just the right snow, my husband took them out to build a snow fort. They filled a large, rectangular container with snow, pressed it down to make “bricks”, then made sort of a partial igloo. It was quite impressive. Didn’t take the creativity of these, but lots of people remarked on it. 🙂
